Should two cancellations be made in a row (unless exceptional circumstances apply) or if a pattern of cancellations occurs, we cannot guarantee your usual time will continue to be reserved.
If we need to cancel a lesson, you will receive a full refund, or you may choose to transfer your fee to your next lesson. In certain circumstances, a replacement lesson may be agreed at a mutually agreeable time.
If we need to cancel an in-person lesson, we will where possible attempt to rearrange this as an online lesson instead.
We offer a free, no obligation, 15-minute initial consultation to discuss your needs.

We cannot accept any legal responsibility for grades you attain either in public examinations or from your educational establishment.
You have the right to end a lesson at any point. We are not able to offer either full or part refund for lessons that have already commenced.
Payment and Fees - ‘The Write Space’ Creative Writing Group
Groups (both ‘Inklings’ and ‘Wordsmiths’) are charged by a recurring monthly subscription of £36 per month.
This amount is annualised and breaks during weeks when the group is not running are factored into the fee. The monthly fee covers 37 workshops per year (September – August).
In ‘Inklings’ your payment covers workshops which are 55 minutes long. Brief feedback may be given on short (paragraph or under) pieces of writing within the workshop (this is not guaranteed every week).
In ‘Wordsmiths’ your payment covers workshops which are 45 minutes long. In addition to this, once per quarter, you will have a 15 minute 1:1 session at the end of the workshop, in which you can receive more detailed feedback, feedback on a longer piece of (pre-submitted at least seven days in advance) work or creative mentoring. Brief feedback may also be given on short (paragraph or under) pieces of writing within the workshop (this is not guaranteed every week).
You are booked into the group once you have started your payment subscription, completed the booking details and have had a short introduction meeting with me.
If you are unable to attend a session, your payment is non-refundable. Recordings and resources will be made available to you.
If we need to cancel a workshop, for example due to unforeseen circumstances or illness, we will in the first instance try to offer the workshop at a rescheduled time. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled workshop, as above, your payment is non-refundable, however recordings and resources will be made available to you. If it is not possible for us to reschedule, we will refund you at the rate of £11.68 per session.
A minimum 30-day notice period will be given of any changes in fees.
We reserve the right to decline, cancel or terminate any booking at any point.
We cannot accept any legal responsibility for grades you attain either in public examinations or from an educational establishment.
You have the right to end a session at any point. We are not able to offer either full or part refund.
